SW8 is a stand-alone solar powered water purifier designed to the very highest standards to provide SAFE, CLEAN, POTABLE WATER INSTANTLY, from contaminated water sources.

SW8 is designed to supply potable water to larger groups of up to 200 people. It is quick and easy to set up by one individual for IMMEDIATE OPERATION. The complete solution wherever there is a need to provide safe, clean drinking water.

The water purification system employs three stages of filtration to remove particulate matter to below 3 micron, carbon treatment to remove organic matter and a UNIQUE iodine-resin treatment to eliminate harmful micro-organisms, i.e. bacteria, viruses and protozoa.

SW8 is powered by four solar panels that unfold from a strong cabinet/unit that houses our patented water purification system. A hand-pump is incorporated in the unit if source power is not available, or the unit can be connected to a 12 volt external supply (optional extra lead available).

SW8 will produce water at the rate of 4-6 litres per minute with a normal capacity to treat 20,000 litres with replacement cartridges available.

The filtration and disinfection cartridges are mounted within a sturdy and easily tranportable unit. Cartridge housings are made in tough reinforced polypropylene (USFDA approved) and all connections are made with PVC fittings approved for potable water. The Solar Panels (4 of) utilise high efficiency single crystal silicon cells which are laminated to tempered glass with EVA. The cells are anti-reflective coated for improved efficiency. SW8 is fitted with a  12 volt DC pump powered by the solar panels, and hand pump as an alternative back-up facility. The water purification process used in SW8 is the same as the process used on the JWP series of water purifiers. These units have accreditation for use by NATO forces.
